VIBEDANCE #6 – Pauline Gervais

In this episode of Vibe Dance, immerse yourself in the sensitive and passionate world of Pauline Gervais, an up-and-coming choreographer with a remarkable career.

From a very young age, inspired by the work of Édouard Lock and guided by her naturally dreamy disposition, she transformed her imagination into a unique creative force. Trained at the École supérieure de ballet du Québec, it was through the Apprentice Choreographer program that she experienced a true turning point: the freedom to blend her passions and manage a creative project from start to finish.

From reinterpreting literary works such as Barjavel’s La Nuit des temps to creating her poignant solo piece on grief, Auf Wiedersehen—which toured the United Kingdom—this emerging artist explores the subtle nuances of the human experience and adapts to all kinds of spaces, from the theater to site-specific settings.

Also deeply involved in Festival Quartiers Danses (FQD) community as Communications Manager and a member of the Artistic Committee, she shares her vision of engagement, the realities faced by emerging artists, and the vital need to showcase culture today.

An inspiring interview on the freedom to create, the quest for artistic identity, and the strength of a new generation of creators!
