The festival runs from September 12 to 20, 2014. Festival Quartiers Danses traveled to every corner of Montreal, present in 19 original venues in 9 neighborhoods. A diverse program – 68 performances and shows, 3 roundtables, 5 film screenings and 2 photographic exhibitions – Festival Quartiers Danses showcased the work of 31 local choreographers, 4 foreign choreographers, 11 directors and 2 photographers.
This year, Quartiers Danses transformed the Gesù | Centre de créativité into its headquarters. In addition, the FQD invited the public and professionals to a day of forums. Three round tables opened the dialogue on current themes: intergenerational choreographic encounters, dance in institutions and the challenges of dance in an urban context.
