The festival runs from September 11 to 23, 2013. Festival Quartiers Danses presented 37 choreographers, including 21 recognized artists, 11 emerging artists, five international artists and two from the rest of Canada, who offered 53 performances, performances and animations.
In total, 34 choreographic pieces were presented and 14 venues were used in eight different Montreal neighbourhoods for 19 indoor and 34 outdoor performances. The program also included two screenings of short films on dance by up-and-coming Quebec directors, as well as a screening of feature films, three retrospective photographic exhibitions of previous editions of the festival by two photographers (one Montrealer and one Londoner), a parent-child dance workshop and a series of meetings with the artists.
Finally, the festival awarded three prizes to support the development of the artists who present their work.
