Dancer and choreographer Ximena Eleta de Sierra is also the executive director of CÍA. Gramo Danse. The Panama-based dance company integrates aerial and contemporary dance, including physical theatre and theatre-dance. Ximena Eleta de Sierra’s aerial dance choreographies include “En un manglar”, using fabric, a hammock and a rope, “Balance”, using a lyra, “Peldaños”, with a suspended ladder, and “Hilo” on a climbing rope. She also created two vertical dance pieces, “A Domicilio” (co-choreographed) and “ONEIROS”. More recently, she conceived “Desencuentros”, a choreography on a suspended cube.
