Dance company
Born in Stockholm Sweden, Elon discovered his love for dance through breaking and Hip Hop at the age of seven. Parallel this, Elon grew up with a deep interest for Martial arts and trained extensively in various forms. He went on to find further inspiration in other street styles, theatre and contemporary dance, which eventually led to the creation of his own movement approach. Elon has performed and choreographed works for theatre, dance and contemporary circus productions, since 2001.
But in 2005, he left Europe to be part of the creation of Cirque Du Soleil’s The Beatles LOVE Show in Las Vegas, in which he performed and choreographed his own solo. Elon has toured internationally with various companies, but in 2012, with great success, he co-founded the award winning dance company Tentacle Tribe, Elon has also taught countless workshops, set works and mentored choreographers and companies around the world
My artistic process varies from project to project. I usually listen to a lot of music and
improvise. In this case I will start by exploring movement and creating the music
simultaneously. I will build a few musical textures/modes and melodies and feel them
out. The first movement exploration will probably happen in silence, but then ill build a
basic music structure and work from that. I usually create parts and pieces and then
tie them together. When creating movement I use a system or way of filtering ideas
witch help me to keep on track. Over all my approach is quite organic and I try to
follow my intuition as much as possible.
