Dancer and choreographer
Lila Dubois Pagesse is a choreographer, performer, and teacher of contemporary dance based in both France and Quebec. Having grown up in Brittany, by the sea, nature is the cradle of her imagination. A graduate of the École de danse de Québec, she has developed an instinctive, acrobatic, and tempestuous physicality in which the body becomes a force of rebellion and transformation.
Corps à Coeur is a hypnotic visual and auditory journey that explores the diversity of human connections through a search for illusion in partner work. Our approach is based on the development of hypnotic movement in which the concept of the chimeric body lies at the heart of our exploration. The chimera dissolves the boundaries of individuality to create plurality within a single entity. This piece explores the encounter between two bodies and the way they can merge into one another until they form a single, moving entity.
