Performing arts creation and production company
Aly Keita, a Guinean multidisciplinary artist based in Montreal, trained in circus arts, dance, and music from his teenage years at the Keita Fodeba Centre in Conakry. He collaborates with several companies in Canada (Kalabanté, Cavalia, Nyata Nyata, etc.). As director of Kira Arts, he created Djata (2021), Altération (2024), and Nimba (2025). Committed to cultural outreach, he works with youth and in various long-term care facilities in Montreal.
In my creations, I integrate my knowledge of dance, acrobatic arts, music, and singing, creating a personal aesthetic where interactions become the grammar of a possible construction. This integrated approach reflects my way of understanding life and its synergies: I explore the arts through multiple relationships between history, legend, time, space, and the body, whether flesh, objects, or instruments. My approach is guided by research into the body-mind relationship, supported by a (spiritual) gesture rooted in the earth.
