Choreographer and dancer
A dance graduate of York University (B.F.A.) and UQAM (masters – creation), Jane has over forty years of experience as an interpreter, choreographer and teacher of contemporary dance. Her choreography has been performed across Canada and internationally. Her work explores the relationship between art, social diversity and fundamental rights. Jane is bilingual and has taught at the École supérieure de ballet du Québec from 2007-2020, and in Ottawa for The School of Dance, Ottawa Dance Directive, and the Department of Theater at the University of Ottawa.
I have always been interested in collaborating with artists from different creative fields. It has been part of my artistic path for the past thirty years. I have collaborated on many projects with visual artists, as well as theatre and cinema producers. I am currently interested in exploring mental health and how dance can help people with mental disorders to express themselves.
