Choreographer & Performer

Dancer and choreographer Jacques Bana Yanga is the founder and director of the Dance International Festival Me.Ya.Be in the Congo. Jacques Bana Yanga shared his experience with the underprivileged youths of Kinshasa and created the Jacques Bana Yanga Company in 2006, together with a series of shows. Recognized on an international level, he travelled across four continents, studied scenography with occidental ballets, and worked with renowned choreographers to promote talents. During the 2011 Masdanza Festival in Spain, Jacques finished second in the Three Continent Contest with a piece he created and performed with his company.
