Dance artist
Inès Chiha, who is also a choreographer and performer, has developed an approach rooted in martial arts and theater. She honed her craft through the Big Bang programs, where she created her first solo piece, Elle s’est habillée, puis elle a retiré sa peau. This work benefited from several residencies and artistic mentorship.
In 2024, she began exploring the world of breaking and co-founded the Molokhia Squad collective with Bashir Al Mahayni, with whom she created their first piece, Collapse.
At the same time, Inès is deeply committed to social causes, drawing on several years of social work with marginalized communities. She is also a dance performer and cultivates an intimate, experimental sound practice that blends singing, spoken word, and sound collages.
I explore how these stories shape us, how we choose — or fail to choose — the ones with which we identify, and our (in)ability to exercise narrative free will.
