Originally from the province of Granma, in Buey Arriba, Niosbel Gonzalez trained in modern, contemporary, and folk dance, graduating from the National Higher School of Art. After his studies, he joined Danza Contemporánea de Cuba, where he took on several leading roles, becoming an emblematic figure on the island’s dance scene.”
My work emerges from the need to develop movement as a psychomotor procedure of liberation, spontaneity, and acceptance. It explores transcending the traditional boundaries of dance to bring movement toward a new paradigm, using the body as a vessel of expression in an evolving process of self-improvement. This approach aims to reinvent the discipline, offering a space for movement to become a tool for exploration and individual transformation.
