Biography

Founded in 2020, the Bulbe Collective is a group of female artists collaborating to develop a choreographic laboratory. The Collective debuted in September 2021 at the Quartiers Danses Festival and showcased their creation, Entr’Eux. A collaboration with film producer Laetitia Demessence and composer Nathan Mignien, their first danced short film Entr’Eux was supported by the Canada Council for the Arts. The Bulbe Collective was recently awarded a choreographic residency supported by the Cas Public Company.

Artistic vision

Our creative process is strongly collaborative. Everyone brings in their own choreographic and performing voice, inspired by their various backgrounds, whether it is ballet, contemporary or urban dance. Bulbe serves as a platform to implement altruistic art practices and explore elements that are close to our hearts. Through our creations, we wish to talk about current themes that feed our artistic curiosity.
