La théorie des ensembles is a solo performance that situates the body in a liminal space where borders between states, spaces, reigns, and poetics are dismantled and rebuilt. Unfolding in an intimate atmosphere, this performance proposes through simple rope play, the formation of combinations or spaces where multiple revelations emerge. This in-between space is part of a place where things no longer hold together, where the contours are erased, where there is no fixed point. Just before disappearing. Sara Hanley explores the border as a space within; a space of constant renegotiation with the body, relationships, spaces, objects, and sensations. By inhabiting and narrating this space, she tries to understand what happened to her when she almost died. Death is therefore the central question, but also life and the relationships between different living elements.
