Temps Réel is a quartet where adrenaline, sensations and exhilaration juxtapose in the present time. By their hyper receptive state, the interpreters express the urgency of the moment and deploy their antennas to the world. Rhythms, chance and reactions are intertwined to express the complexity of the immediate. The protagonists are built in different realities while remaining interrelated. The intoxication of the present leads them to evolve in a fluid and spasmodic movement. In response to the various stimuli, the performers become aware of the duality between the ephemeral and eternal aspect of the present moment. Above all, they celebrate instantaneity in complicity with Charles Bicari’s music.
This piece has benefited from a creative residency at studio Ballet Hop and the Conseil des Arts de Montréal.
