Halves

Choreographer : David Albert-Toth

The quartet Halves is a reflection on shadows and where they go when we leave. The following questions are raised: what happens to a person when their basic nature is taken away? How can we dance in a void? Shadows are like another self, buried in the most profound depths, in the furthest reaches of our being. They are our lost, evaporated, confiscated, broken love. They are our “what ifs”, our many fractured facts, our forgotten selves. This piece was commissioned by Stefania Skoryna and Audray Julien.
