Cascando

Choreographer : Louise Bédard | Louise Bédard Danse

Created for Ken Roy in 1999, Cascando is one of three solos commissioned for Projet Roy. Produced by Danse Cité and presented in the context of Volet Interprete, it soon became a favorite of the critics and the public alike. In this lively and energetic solo, Louise Bédard shows us a side of Ken Roy that is not often seen. Performed to the piano music of Frederic Chopin and accompanied live by Mathieu Fortin, this solo is detailed, flamboyant and touchingly human.

Ahora

Choreographer : Marie-Josée Paradis

This solo is dedicated to the human race. It is composed of organic matter and is revealed to the audience very slowly as if one were opening a wrapped gift, a longed for gift… Ahora is made up of sighs, silences, a call, a cry…

Solo w/ File Cabinet

Choreographer : Marlee Cargill

Solo w/ File Cabinet was influenced by the work of Istvan Kantor, a Hungarian / Canadian performance artist. First performed onstage in 2003 this “dance installation invasion” has been taken to streets of New York, Miami and Paris. Combining raw physicality and text, it explores the territory of sexual identity and office furniture.
