WITHIN is an immersive video dance for VR glasses that invites users to enter the mind of a person who has created dance pieces. With music and a recorded voice, we are transported in dilapidated locations and natural landscapes in different parts of Spain. The film features different scenes (places, relationships, sensations) that viewers can choose with their hands. People are hypnotized and transported to another place where the dancer moves close to them and only for them. The stage surrounds you, taking you elsewhere and inhabiting what might be called a metaverse with real human bodies, with nature and with dance.
WITHIN was born as part of a European project called INNOCULT, enabling artists and cultural professionals from different fields to develop a technological art prototype and present it at MEET in Milan. The project was also supported by the Dantza Labea, Eszenabide and Espacio Punto de Fuga residencies.
