Through me I see | Marie-Maxime Ross

Description

Traveling to India alone brought out many facets of myself that inspired this piece. The driving force behind the piece is the spiral, as it manages to unify these energies that, most of the time, contradict one another, clash, fall silent, and even censor themselves. Through poetic movements, an internal monologue is expressed, illustrating the various dynamics at play between these parts of myself.

This solo is an attempt to unify these energies—to live more fully within myself and within all of us. It is a lifeline of hope and self-compassion that I wish to extend to the audience.
