“The last of us” tells the solitary adventure of four united human beings. It is a danced metaphor of human nature and our relationship to the vastness of landscapes, the world and the void surrounding us. Who has never felt small in front of the scale and beauty of natural landscapes? Was it a feeling of freedom or vertigo? Is experiencing chaos necessary to be able to appreciate silence?
The group explores the fragility of human beings by creating a link between Nature’s size and beauty, and the collapse of society. By opposing chaos to silence and collapse to rebirth, all the while creating links with current events, artists attempt to recreate a healthy and balanced environment. When coming back to a blank page, everything is still possible. A new social fabric is created through the building of relationships, giving way to individuality and the exploration of the unknown.
