FOR US is a short dance film created by Pearl Makayi that celebrates the power of community, creativity and connection. Created in response to the Wayfinding programme, the film brings together movement and personal reflection to explore what it means to find your place, embrace change and grow alongside others. Through dance and spoken word, FOR US is a celebration of the artists, friendships and opportunities that continue to shape our journeys.

As The Floor Shifts is a short 10 minute film, created over several years with a number of Lived Experience Consultants (LECs) who have influenced what we say to audiences about their experience of living with a neurological disability. The LECs collaborated in this research, fed into concept development, shared testimonials, tested episode experiences, and supported us to make artistic choices on which was most impactful and accessible.
The film is episodic, reflecting the way that many people experience symptoms and side effects of their illness. Often people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) are said to be ‘experiencing an episode’ at times when their symptoms are exacerbated.
The episodes have been created using various virtual reality techniques, including Motion Capture and Volumetric Capture. The film combines contemporary dance with creative technologies to create emotive and thought provoking visual experiences.

LANDED traces a communal journey across places marked by change and memory. Rooted in the landscapes, the film unfolds as a site-specific exploration where the body becomes both witness and interpreter—channeling the histories, textures, and energies of each location.
Featuring dance artists and musicians from Italy, Canada, Greece and Germany, along with community members, this intergenerational, multidisciplinary ensemble brings the performers’ practices into direct dialogue with the environments they inhabit. Through movement, sound, music and storytelling, LANDED becomes a cinematic meditation on transformation, belonging, and the enduring search for connection—where the past lingers, as renewal takes root.

Created by an artist with a unique aesthetic, this work immerses us in the luminous universe of ElleX. Beneath a shower of glowing comets, this androgynous creature with a slender body moves through a suspended world. As the ground tilts, her body releases luminescent pearls—a vital substance previously hidden within her. Thrown off balance, ElleX embarks on a pilgrimage through the confined space of her world, and the pearls transform into ElleY, her clone.
The two replicas, in an intense sensory interplay, exchange energy and pleasure, transforming into luminous flowers on a white canvas. At the end of their dance, they reveal their essence of light and vital energy.

Adapted from Anne Plamondon’s award-winning dance work, the film captures the return to a woman’s late father’s apartment. Living with schizophrenia, he left behind a space that opens a fragile dialogue with memory, loss, and the unseen, where movement leads toward resilience.
