A ball of light dances, inviting the audience on a sensory journey where movement, textiles, sounds, and textures interplay in a poetic world inspired by the imagination of very young children. Through play, imitation, and listening, the two artists weave a dialogue between dance, music, and electronic installations, delicately evoking the parent-child relationship, inspired by Daniel Stern’s A Baby’s Diary. An immersive, sensitive experience accessible to even the youngest children.
A contemporary dance show for the whole family, INSECTA follows the adventures of a half-human, half-insect creature through the heart of the BAnQ, from the Espace Jeunes all the way to the Jardin d’art. Through fluid and disjointed movements, shifting between curious antennae and instinctive reflexes, this “mischievous ballet” playfully celebrates female strength, autonomy, and leadership. This 25-minute traveling performance is followed by a 20-minute dance workshop open to the whole family.
