Screen to motion : Act II

This fall, let yourself be transported by "Screen to motion," a unique encounter between cinema and contemporary dance. From September 9 to 18 (8 p.m. to midnight), the facade of the Wilder Building (Place des Festivals) will come alive with a continuous architectural projection of short films co-produced by FQD, offering a truly immersive experience. To extend the experience, attend the Performance Rendez-vous on September 9, 17, and 18 at 9 p.m.: unique evenings featuring the screening of a short film, immediately followed by a live performance created in direct resonance with the visual work, where image and movement respond to one another.

Marlene Millar x Sandy Silva - Home (5 min)

Screening of the film Home by Marlene Millar and Sandy Silva (5 min), followed by a dance performance inspired by the film, performed by Sandy Silva (Montreal—solo).

Xavier Curnillon x Louise Bédard - Elle s'évade (6 min)

Directed by Xavier Curnillon, this short film explores the themes of fear, the imagination, and isolation.

“What we feel on that particular day—the soft or intense light, the sounds we hear, the news we read in the newspaper the day before that still unsettles us the next day—all of it comes together to be absorbed intensely.”
