A new creation by Karla Étienne for the FQD 2024.
This duo explores the captivating world of insects with agility and grace, while highlighting their diversity and unusual shapes. In a miniature universe, both artists portray the complexity, duality, and mystery of insect life, while underscoring its individuality, strength, and solidarity.
In “Insectoïdes,” the speed of legs and vivacity of antennas are brought to life through fluid, dismantled, or jerky movements. Each step becomes an artistic expression of the subtle interactions, complex relationships, psyche, and reflexes of the insect kingdom.
Through a captivating performance, artists invite the audience to experience a unique visual adventure, rediscover nature with awe, and celebrate an everlasting fascination for the insect world.
