Anima Inaspecta | Jardins Gamelin

Where are we? Where do we come from? Where do we go? Are we really aware of our daily lives and routines? Do we realize how removed we are from nature? Do we notice joy all around us? Do we feel joy? Have we forgotten how to? Are we really conscious? We are responsible for our own life and happiness. We owe it to ourselves to be awake. Does this make you feel uncomfortable? Study this feeling. Use it as a catalyst, a source of energy.

It is simpler than you think. It is simpler than our mind would like us to believe. Do not trust your mind blindly. For it is not the only tool we have to understand life. Learn to listen to your soul and feel with your body. Anima Inaspecta … A play about a man’s journey on the unknown path to awareness.

Dino | Jardins Gamelin

Exploring the prehistoric nature of humanity, DINO features a stoic environment for two performers, equipped with semi-realistic T-Rex masks and work clothes. The piece explores themes of the human condition and greed in today’s society, set to a fusion of chamber music and robotic voice.

Inspired by the events that punctuate our daily lives, this piece is a playful yet stoic representation of the world we live in. DINO is at once physical, repetitive and explosive, yet tender and balanced. As the play progresses, characterized by radical shifts in dynamics and tone, the characters reveal themselves more and more through their empathy and vulnerability.

WITHIN | Studio-Théâtre des Grands Ballets Canadiens

Viewed with VR glasses, immersive dance video WITHIN invites the public to enter the mind of a choreographer. Each member of the audience controls the story and travels with a dancer through the ruins and natural landscapes of the Spanish Basque country. A virtual reality metaverse, the piece showcases real human bodies moving as one with nature.

WITHIN was born thanks to INNOCULT, a European project promoting the development of art and technology prototypes. It was presented during MEET, in Milan, and supported by Dantza Labea, Eszenabide and Espacio Punto de Fuga. So far, the piece has been shown in Cinedans, BLV Art, MEET, Labo Xl, Teatro Barakaldo, and the Dantzan Tzan Festival.

Armande & et Gaël | Collectif Masdame

En pièce Jointe | Studio-Théâtre des Grands Ballets Canadiens

In a parallel universe, Ms. Paravent is about to be interviewed for a job that could help her career take off. In a strange atmosphere of radical authority, mistakes are forbidden. As she completes trial after trial, tensions increase and interactions are charged with anguish and absurdity. In this messy environment, content and form intertwine, reflecting on our own stereotypes. Time has stopped, the narrative has failed, and we are left with nothing but words echoing in our bodies.

En Pièce Jointe is a celebration of those who do not fit the norm, are left behind or ignored, like unsold items that fail to appeal to consumers in supermarkets. The piece attempts to deconstruct reality, fiction, and absurd thoughts, while transporting the viewer in a bizarre and awkward universe, where dance and theatre become one.

UXO | Studio-Théâtre des Grands Ballets Canadiens

UXO – Una carezza sugli occhi (A caress on the eyes) is the story of a fragment of life. Two people without gender are in a relationship. After achieving relational balance, they are faced with instability. Anger, insecurity, and doubt creep into their relationship with space and time, breaking up the couple. They become distant and elusive until a small gesture of childlike unconditional love comes from nowhere and restores balance.

UXO – Una carezza sugli occhi showcases relationships that change over time through love, depression, and emotional instability. In the end, UXO – Una carezza sugli occhi is the awakening to life that happens the unavoidable nature of change is finally accepted.
