A thunderstorm rages after a grueling day of work in the fields. Once the rain stops, life springs up from a previously barren land. Fruits start growing and ripening to become apples, from which cider will be made. It is now time to harvest, give thanks and celebrate love.
“Dantza” is a story about the cycle of life, and the fight for survival. The passing of time is marked by the evolution of nature, and its story is told in the language of dance. Through music and daily routines, life becomes rhythm.
Drawing inspiration from universal themes, the film’s symbolism bears witness to the hypnotizing universe of traditional dance. More than just a tale about the miracle of life, “Dantza” is a lyrical song about tradition, myths, and customs.
