Founded in 2024 by Bashir Al Mahayni and Inès Chiha, Molokhia Squad is a collective driven by a desire for social impact and political engagement. Drawing on their self-taught backgrounds—Bashir from breaking and hip-hop culture, Inès from martial arts and theater—the two choreographers have developed a sensitive physical language that views dance as a space for encounter, reflection, and collective transformation.
Shaped by their migration stories, their diverse heritages, and their cultures of resistance, their work explores the connections between the body, relationships, resilience, and healing, using movement as a tool for emancipation, resistance, and healing.
