Inspired by the work of Mia Couto and featuring a scenography of strings enveloping the entire space, the choreographer creates a singular atmosphere exploring the concept of waiting time, an irreversible time. As Couto wrote, “Everyone sees the pearls. But no one notices the thread that, in a clinging necklace, makes up the pearls.” This quote subtly evokes the richness of often overlooked details, just as the play’s narrative delves into the female universe, giving voice and texture to often forgotten existences.

The character’s internal body space metamorphoses into a multitude of other spaces, thoughts and dimensions, illustrating the ineluctable persistence of time that guides the character’s reactions, reflecting the movements of life.
