The Living Home is a contemporary dance mediation project uniting seniors in long-term care (CHSLD) and preschool children. Through a series of six workshops, participants explore emotions through movement and intergenerational connection.
In this project, contemporary dance serves as a universal non-verbal language, fostering a meaningful encounter across generations regardless of physical or cognitive abilities. The program features five creative exploration workshops followed by a final shared improvised performance. Each session is structured around a specific emotion and the theme of architecture—both built and botanical—as a metaphor for the body, memory, and connection.
Visual and sound elements are occasionally integrated to enhance the sensory experience, keeping the primary focus on the power of movement.
