For the past two years, the Festival Quartiers Danses (FQD) has added a new string to its bow: FQD Mini, a program specially designed for preschool-aged children.
CHEMIN AUX MILLE POUSSES is a participatory performance for children, created by artists Alexandra Caron and Emmanuelle Lizère, intended for young children and their families in Montreal’s early childhood centers (CPEs). This project came to life in September 2023 in CPEs in the South-West borough as part of the FQD’s 10th anniversary of cultural mediation. This interactive, ambulatory performance encourages young children to express themselves and be creative, while allowing them to explore movement, sound, music, and natural materials.
