Sara Harton

Biography

Born in Quebec City, Sara is a graduate of École Supérieure de Ballet Contemporain (ESBCM). She has received  numerous awards of excellence, including the Lieutenant-Governor of Quebec Award, and distinguished herself within the Jeune Ballet du Québec. She has performed for many choreographers worldwide, including Shawn Hounsell, Hélène Blackburn, Mario Radacovsky, Victor Quijada, Christophe Garcia, Thierry MalandainKristen Cere, and Iréni Stamou.

From 2003 to 2006, she danced in the corps de ballet of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal for their Nutcracker production. Upon graduating from ESBCM in 2006, she joined les Ballet Jazz de Montréal as dancer-performer. There, she performed for Azure Barton, Rodrigo Pederneiras, Crystal Pite and Mauro Bigonzetti.

She has been a member of ezdanza (Direction Edgar Zendejas) since 2009. She has also joined Danse K de K directed by Karine Ledoyen for the creation of Air (2010) and Trois paysages (2012). Since 2011, Sara has been part of the Danse Lhasa Danse by Pierre-Paul Savoie, founder of PPS Danse.

As an independent artist, she also takes part in several choreographic, cinematographic and video projects. She collaborates with various schools as teacher, assistant choreographer and choreographer.
