Sara Harton

Biography

Originally from Quebec City, Sara is a graduate of the École Supérieure de Ballet Contemporain (ESBCM). Sara has received numerous prizes, including the Lieutenant-Governor of Quebec Award. She has distinguished herself at Jeune Ballet du Québec and has performed internationally works by choreographers such as Shawn Hounsell, Hélène Blackburn, Mario Radacovsky, Victor Quijada, Christophe Garcia, Thierry Malandain, Kristen Cere and Iréni Stamou.

From 2003 to 2006, she was a part of the corps de ballet in Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal’s Nutcracker production. Upon graduating from ESBCM in 2006, she joined Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal, where she performed works by Azure Barton, Rodrigo Pederneiras, Crystal Pite and Mauro Bigonzetti.

Sara is a member of the company ezdanza, directed by Edgar Zendejas, which she joined in 2019. She has danced with Danse K par K, directed by Karine Ledoyen, for the show Air (2010) and Trois Paysages (2012). Since 2011, Sara has danced with P.P.S. Danse, Les 7 doigts de la main (Triptyque), Trip the Light Fantastic, Umanoove (London, UK) and Cirque Éloize. As an independent artist, Sara takes part in several choreographic, film and music video projects. She also collaborates with different schools as teacher, assistant choreographer and choreographer.
