Using the cultural, social and rhythmic structures of Indian folk dance. Much like a baby being held by a mother, the balletic movement (baby) will be “held” within the rhythmic, thematic, and spatial structures of Indian folk dance as in a mother’s arms. I take pride in using the conventions of ballet structured in a way that has not been seen before.
