Entr;Eux

Quatuor

Entr;Eux is a choreographic work constructed as a study that seeks to comprehend the notion of control. It explores how “invisible forces” such as electricity, magnetism and gravity can take control of parts of the body. What power do we have over our own lives and the lives of others? What are the external forces that control us? Why should we attempt to achieve self-mastery? When is control a virtue? When is it a destructive force? As the title implies, this piece seeks to inspire a sensory-based connection between the choreographers, the dancers and the audience.

Biography

Based in Montréal, the Bulbe Collective was formed in the fall of 2020 when four emerging dancers and choreographers joined together to nurture and develop their practice of contemporary dance. The members of Bulbe have worked with various dance companies, including RUBBERBAND, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, Aszure Barton & Artists and Ballet BC. Dancers Jessica Joy Muszynski and Claire Campbell made their debut as professional choreographers at the 18th edition of Festival Quartiers Danses in September 2020.

Artistic vision

Our creative process is decidedly collaborative. Through our experiences as both performers and choreographers with a variety of backgrounds including ballet, contemporary and urban dance, each of us lends our voice to the process. The Bulbe Collective is our platform for forging altruistic artistic practices and engaging in meaningful exploration.

To satisfy our curiosity as emerging artists, we seek to create works touching on themes that are both current and relevant.
